Movies are made to entertain people. I have said it numerous times that if you only go to movies to find the secret to life you will be disappointed. Dodgeball is an entertaining movie, but it will not win any awards. If you have seen the movie Zoolander then you may think that most of that character is duplicated in Ben Stiller’s act here. You would be right. Most of the nonsensical things that Ben’s character says sound like clips picked off the cutting room floor from Zoolander. Fortunately there are more characters than just his. Put all together and you have an entertaining movie that is worth the price of a matinee. I am glad I saw this, but it is not the funniest movie of the year by far. It is still good though and worth a view if you have nothing else to see.
